Hi there this is our first post, I'm Richie my girl's name is Esther, we'd both be very pleased to make your aquaintance
We produce drum&bass and triphop, and constantly have our heads buried in the world of music.
Would any of you know the names of any of the songs linked to this thread, We have been trying for months to find out who they are by, and so far no luck, please take a listen, if you can give us any pointers that would be great!!
www.killalltraitors.co.uk/unknownartist.mp3
The second track were trying to find is a tune by Amon Tobin, it was a bonus track, which is now no longer available on any of his albums.
This is our ruff version of how it sounds
www.killalltraitors.co.uk/mysterytrack.mp3
Please can anybody help, or point us in the right direction? We have a pretty good knowledge of music ourselves and would be more then happy to help any one els out who is in a simular situation.
Richie & Esther.

i personally dont know the name of them, but since you know the name of the second one, maybe you could get in contact with Amon Tobin's record label, or manager to find out the information you require.

hey swiftmed, thanks for the pointer.
Well, we posted a thread with these attachments to Amon Tobins own forum where he occasionally answers questions (himself) it's called the ask Amon forum at Amon tobin .com
but its not a very popular forum and the thread has only had about a hundred views over the last two weeks, and still no reply from Amon, but fingers crossed he will get to us eventually.
we thought there would be loads of "brain box" sites that you could upload tracks too to find their tittles. but cant find any.

Also might cost but what about that Kazzas mobile service thing?
You know where dial 2580 and hold it up to music and it sends text which artist and song name.

Hiya swiftmed, we did try yahoo answers, but we found that their posts don't recognize web addresses and they dissabled our "mystery track and unknown artist links, so we were unable to post them, we couldn't find any other way of attaching mp3's to our post so we gave up, But we'll give it another try.
Blessings Richie & Esther

Cool swiftmed.
We just had a quick moan at yahoo answers, and asked them how to attach mp3's to our posts and also why our links were being disabled, we'll have to wait and see what they say there certainly weren't any answers in their help section (Ironically).
Just gonna try a search for phone in services now, but I got a feeling that these pieces are to obscure even for the experts.

No luck,
The service we tried was called Shazam, (phone 2580 from your mobile) it identified a group that sounded similar in style, but the artist and title was wrong, were still stuck, if anyone has any other ideas we'll definitely give em a try though.
Thanks again, Richie & Esther

Yeah actually we got to say, Shazam seem pretty good and would be a good idea for anyone else trying to put a name to any recordings they might have kicking around that they ain't got the names of, you know.
Hey Dan the tracks featured an old youtube video, we've already tried contacting them and leaving comments, but cant seem to get any replies, in fact our comments don't even appear on the page.
The video's called B'girls trinity and Integrity
Here is the link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=WP8AoxDVs_g
Also if your impressed by that check out a chick called B'girl jess on the same page.
OK so we've made a small breakthrough that you guys may be interested in, its a web page that has been put together to help people find rare records, but has a list of hundreds record dealers e-mail addresses, all grouped by genra.
The page suggests that you e-mail these dealers with as much information as you can, in the hope that they may be able to supply you with more info, and even help you track down copies of rare or deleted music, it also has some other links and handy tips so check it out.
However, these guys are record collectors, and from our experience will probably not be to impressed by people trying to find the name of the latest Britney Spears release, (Best leave that to Shazam) but will probably be helpful to people looking for genuinely rare records or cd's.

I can find virtually any song on Project Playlist. That site is like a search engine for streaming music. I love it!
