Hi all,
I didn't know where to post this thread, this put it in this forum.
So, dreamweaver's gurus. My problem:

We work in pair designer/programmer. For example, designer edits some files with dreamweaver. Then I connect to FTP(Dreamweaver FTP) from my computer and DW rewrites all files (which designer had already modified) and replace with my older versions of files without my approvment.

How to setup FTP to work correctly.
Thanks in advance.

In Dreamweaver there should be a dialog for your FTP credentials and the address of the server you want to push the files to.

If that doesn't work, try

I agree. If you are working in a team, using dreamweaver to manage your files through ftp might be a bad idea. Use a third party ftp manager. Personally I use smartFTP its free so long as its not for corporate use.

I didn't know about that one, should have put it in the list. Looks like I had a problem with my caps lock key for Cute FTP, too. I mostly just use Windows myself and half the time I use the command prompt. You type FTP and hit enter, then open domain.com, and then send up the files. I like seeing it set to binary mode (learned that the hard way) and then seeing the success or error. But most people like 3rd party software with a nice graphical user interface. And there are lots to choose from.
