Well we all change our avatars every so often, so here is the chance to showcase it.
If you have not posted in this thread before and have an avatar, then post in this thread and the next person(s?) will rate it. Though you should not repeat-post if you have not a new avatar to showcase.
I have a new avatar so I will start off which I just made in Photoshop because my previous one was tatty and lame.

I like your new avatar...and it is much more interesting than the old one. Good Job!
I have had the same avatar since I joined. It is a drawing that my son (DarkLink) made for me because I love Snoopy. I scanned it and have used it as my avatar for almost 2 1/2 years. I should probably get him to draw me a new one.....I can't draw for beans

Thank you!
That's awesome, he can draw better than me! I have no drawing skills what so ever. How old is he?

About half an hour to 45 minutes though I didn't time myself, could have been longer.
Your avatar is of a baby - your family perhaps?

What do you think of mine? It's a bit small to see maybe, but its some scenery on a cloudy day near my house in the British countryside (enhanced by moi as it looked fairly bad before)

Nice, though it is hard to see!
The scenery is good in the Welsh mountains, used to live in a village 30 mins from Aberystwyth.

Interesting - where abouts? I live near about 2 1/2 miles from the Welsh border near a town called Presteigne - we go on holiday to Aberystwyth sometimes.

Was a place called Ysbyty Ystwyth, now I'm near Birmingham.

Oh right - I don't think I've actually heard of that place but it's obviously on the river Ystwyth if that's its name. Aber is the closest holiday resort to us - the beach is fairly poor, but the place is great. Borth is better for a beach though. We sometimes stay in a caravan at Clarach bay, a few miles from Aberystwyth - the beach there is fairly poor too, but it's still a great destination.

I like Null Pointer's icon! I like Whym's, too, but I think half of that is familiarity. I can't even guess how to pronounce Ystwyth tho.
Now do mine!

Lol - it's pronounced "ist-with" (not like with, the word, but with with the "th" sound on the end, if that makes sense?) It's a typical Welsh word
I think familiarity does help - I mean I thought Adam's was strange and a bit stupid to start off with (the old avatar I mean), but then I grew to like it's wacky appeal . Now I miss it.... Same with yours Newbie - you get used to it and it sort of becomes in your comfort zone - that's why it can be a bit disorientating and strange when someone changes their avatar if they've had it for months/years. You eventually get used to it though, as I'm slowly doing with Adam's anti-spam panda. Lol

If Adam's is the anti-spam panda, that means spam and sexual harassment must be the same thing?
This is not gonna make me popular on Digital Pointless, you realize that?

Rich, cool job on the new avatar! fastreplies, I have to like the dog with the sign. Kandi, your son did a great job with Snoopy, makes me remember drawing him a lot growing up.
The original one I used was this glass head in a doctor's office that I took a pic of and added the bottom of the head in a pool with ripple effects. The one I'm using now, of course, is my ugly mug with a word balloon pointing to the text below it. Which one ya like better?

I prefer the dog, too. And the bubble effect is better than the strange moster blob? Or zombie?
I have many avatars.

I'm just experimenting ... I've been feeling like finding a better avatar, and this thread prompted me to try a few more.
But Parsley's sitting right here next to the heater, wishing I'd play with her catnip mouse with her.

I think I've seen animated ones before in the past - one that comes to mind is the Family Guy with his jaw dropping down occasionally. You'll just have to try it out and see I guess

Mine's not too special, but it combines two things I am interested in ... baseball and cats.
