I just wanted to express my worries to everyone that is currently using msn messenger. I recently got a virus from the darn thing. What happens is the virus makes the users log off and then sends all your friends online a rar file saying look at this picture is it too in appropriate for MySpace, and I also seen one that said look at this picture when I was so young. I opened the darn rar because it was coming from my cousin so I thought I could trust it. Little did I know she was booted out of msn and wasn’t even the one sending the rar file? So I thought I would post this here and inform everyone before it spreads like wild fire. I haven’t noticed any side affect yet from having it but if I do I will keep you all updated. Have you seen or heard anything regarding this issue?
MSN messenger has been a well known target gateway in the past for viruses to transfer between computers. It would appear this is still the case. I assume that as you have identified this through an up to date antivirus program.

Yes F-Secure picked it up and also removed it along with a few other minor things
I treat my antivirus like my woman; use them once and out the door. I hate how they slow my pc does after running an anti virus for 48 hours and Imnever turn my pc of soo I can't always have one. And In extra emergencies I always have a 40 gig hard drive with xp OS on it to clean whatever I need to
