About 3 weeks ago now....I remember the day well...
Being a moderator has it's advantages, but spammers get on your nerves more than usual when they repeatedly offend and you have to spend time deleting things.

I think it really depends on what I'm doing in my day, rather than if I'm a mod or not. Some days (they happen less now), I'd spend a huge chunk of my day posting on the forums, other days I'll be busy with a project and spend hardly any time relaxing on here. If I had to pick, I'd say I probably make a few less posts here than I did JUST before I became a mod.

I think I agree with that. Though I think I posted more as a Mod than a SMod than an Admin. A Mod takes care of their own forums and has more time for other forums whereas a SMod is all over the forums. Well, as a Admin, I get blamed for alot of stuff.  I also get a ton (or tonne) of emails and PMs to answer.

That, to me, is the most important one. Sure, I post more here, but I spend a lot of time lurking in other forums, mostly graphics and html. But let's face it, I'm a newbie, with just enough knowledge to eschew DW, hand-code all my pages, make sure they're standards compliant and such. But that's why I'm really here; hopefully this brain trust we have will rub off. (That's not just a glute snogg, I mean it.) |
