Did anyone catch this? They were interviewing the guy. Asked him about his wife, and he said he had already made it clear that he wasn't going to talk about his family life. So Leslie Stahl asks him again. The man took off his microphone, shook her hand, and left.

I'm not a big fan of Sarko, I think he's Bush light. But I also think the (corporate monopoly) media is a bunch of vultures. I actually have to give the man credit for standing up to them. And I never thought "gentlemanly" would be used to describe Sarko, but that's exactly how he came off.

I would have done the exact same thing. Questions about France and its policies...those are the kinds of things that you should be asking a president. Questions about a guy's wife...off limits.

I remember when I had a co-op in an MPP's (Member of Provincial Parliament)'s office, and we actually caught a "journalist" going through a dumpster trying to find something on the MPP (the journalist hated her guts and he would have done anything, including misquoting me completely, to burn her ***.)

It's too bad Bill Clinton didn't have the stones or the smarts to do the same thing.

I think he had the stones. That's what got him into the mess in the first place.

Too true.

You know, 60 Minutes used to be respected journalism. Now it's just another Inside Edition. It's funny how we need The Frogs to put our cultural merde in its place.
