In no way can I compete with Forrest's photographs, but I thought I would share one of my favorite pictures of autumn in my little part of the world. I took this picture last year as the sun was setting about 45 minutes from my house where we go hunting.

wow! I wish I got to see autumn like that. In Oklahoma, most of the trees turn straight from green to brown and on the ground. Very few trees actually change to orange and yellow.

Drop dead gorgeous, like the saying goes. Screw the picture, you're lucky to live there and hopefully see beauty like that every day? Well not so much "lucky" as having your priorities in order.

Most of my pics don't come out that gorgeous, this was mostly a "lucky shot".

My favorite days are when I get out of the city and am outside all day (in a tree or out of one

). It's one of the main reasons I go hunting....that and being with my hubby

(if I didn't hunt I probably wouldn't see him from mid October until mid December). I actually live in the city so I don't get to see that scenery every day, but most days.

Autumn isn't my favourite season because it is a bit depressing - the days closing in and the weather getting colder. However, the trees are very beautiful at this time of year - great photo

Here, June through September is HOT and HUMID. So I love the fall. Usually in the middle of October it starts feeling like outside is good again. Right now we are having perfect weather.

Mid-October until the first of the year is my favorite.
