Okay, as im sure many of you would know i have and am doing a charities website.

and i really think getting online donations are key, and has alot of potential.

but its a small charity and the committee seems to be quite slow, and frankly afriaid of new things ...

so you seem like generous lot, and i would like to get some feed back,

So would you donate to a small chidlrens cancer charity online (all through a secure services servers (charitychoice)

and if so what kind of figures would you be willing to donate?

i would just like to see what kind of figures i could say to the chairity could possible be got through donations because from what i have seen it has great potiential.

Also if you want to say but dont want to post publicly im happy for you to PM or email.

and even if its £1 when/if i can set it up it would be completely free og charges so everything will go to the charity

A charity set up to give children cancer? What kind of monster are you?

Of course, if you changed your mission statement to helping children who already have cancer, I can't say no to that.

You'll have to wait until payday, though. I just put every penny I had saved into a car. That'll be a week from Friday.

How would I be able to say no when I've been soliciting donations around here? Here are a few things I look for when I donate money though:

1) How much of the donation goes to administration costs and how much to the cause?

2) Is it a registered charity and not a fly-by-night operation that is really pocketing the money that is supposed to be going to the cause? And what is the charities reputation?

3) The security of the means of donation.

If its a registered charity, then I would donate money. But it also depends on how the donation is going to be processed.

I probably would not, honestly --

If I were to give money to charity, it would be more of a sure thing just to give to the American Cancer Society.

okay
1) EVERY PENNY, calm holds no offices, and no saleries are taken and if i get to use the service i want it will process the payment completly free also.

2) it IS a register UK charity (iit has to be to register with the donation service)

3) the security is all donate through the donations service, and to my understanding is completely secure as you should expect.

gives me a good idea i just wish the charity was so bloooming slow!! Lol

im still waiting for them to give me a proper response about the website >< how dare they have lives out side of the internet!!! lol heh

o i forgot to answer Adams thing,
to be honest the reason they seemed put off was because the only thing they knew of at the time was paypal and the dont want charges, but the other system as far as i know you can donate with most major cards and banks i think, or you could give me the payment via paypal and i pass it on, but i could see why that would make some people unsure
