Hello, I'm looking into going to uni to study for a degree in webdesign (haven't decided which section yet) and was wondering how hard the jobs are to get for a webdesigner in the UK.

I've been studying electronics for 3 years so it'd be a big change, but i think my heart's in web management/design/media.

I wanted to go down this route before i decided on electronics but teachers told me there are no jobs.

I'm interested in most aspects of it, so advice from anyone would be appreciated

I got a job offer from a local company without any qualifications and only a really small portfolio. Had to turn it down in the end because they wanted me to work full time and give up my HND.

You just have to look around for them.

I will. I just don't want to come out of education to find everyone has become a web designer and there's no jobs left.
