Problem #1: your ego. It's one thing to think you're good. It's another thing to think you're so good that other people will just magically see how good you are and help you out. You make the same mistake 90% of IT-types make: "I'm great. Hire me." In a word...why? And "I'm a wizard" isn't an answer, either.

Show the world why you're a wizard. Show the world why you are the quintessential employee. And stop looking at it from your own side and put the shoe on the other foot.

Unix / Linux OS Wizard - at least would open for you some doors.
Servers technician - would let your foot in
SysAdmin - would let you in
