Which community do you guys prefer over the other? Do you guys go on Sitepoint more than you do Digitalpoint? If so, why do you prefer one over the other?

Personally, I've always been a fan of Sitepoint, but Digitalpoint is more active.

Digital Point TENDS to attract a lot of spammers - the place isn't as proactively moderated as a number of other forums on the web and so it's definitely not my favourite. I've never been to SitePoint as a registered member - I've looked round the place a bit before.

I believe that Digital Point really took off after Site Point started charging or something? I can't remember the details of why people moved though.

Webmaster-Talk is my favourite forum though

If the choice is a hole in the ground vs Digital Point, I'll take a hole in the ground.

You know DP is banned from StumbleUpon?

Wow that's interesting! Half of their members are manipulating SU anyway so they have a right to really!

That is a strange question to post on a completelly different forum.

I have never been to SP. I do visit DP and a few other forums on a regular basis.

By and large I think you will find that the folks here at WMT will be more helpful than at a lot of other forums. These boards tend a little more to the serious side and the responses are mostly from people who know what they are talking about.

Ya, after Sitepoint implemented the fees everyone moved on over to DP.
