Not if you treat it like the rest of the year.

With all the hustle and bustle going on it can be quite stressful but not if you're enjoying it.

True, but where's the fun in that? The rest of the year is usually boring....

Honestly, dude, I enjoy the rest of the year a lot more than I do Christmas. The only good thing about this Christmas is that for me, it effectively ended December 22. It's just a waste of time to me, especially since most places around here never even bothered to decorate (homes and businesses alike.)

Over here, people seem to be going over the top - the opposite of what's happening over there then. Commercialism has completely taken hold and the real meaning has all but disappeared. If you asked any 5 year old here what Christmas was all about, or what the Christmas story is about, I would expect more than half would reply with something about Santa, the reindeer or snowmen (for stories). The meaning for them is mostly about presents. The real meaning has been completely lost, and secularists are rubbing their hands with glee.

As always, economists are usually complaining about how people aren't spending enough. This is ridiculous post-credit crunch when saving money and paying off debt is critical to the survival of the economy.

think it's worse to have have a serious relationship and not be able to see her for another week and a half.

She's in NYC visiting her sister for Christmas and News Years Eve. Shouldn't have been a cheap *** and gone with her

It wouldn't be so bad if everyone knew what the true meaning of Christmas is.

I too enjoyed my Christmas. First Christmas with two kids, and the oldest finally old enough to get into the gifts she got. Wife went ape on the decorations and gifts. Tanked away a bunch of turkey and champagne with our closest friends, told stories and laughed until Santa's sled hit the roof.
