Yeah, that is pretty tough. I was able to do it too, but I had to stop a few times and really think about it.

It took me about five tries to get it right (The first time I was so happy that I could do it right away, but then realized I was reading the word, and not the color

No fair. Being color-blind is cheating.

I was able to read the colors too, but I've seen this before and think in the past I'd said the text and not the colors. After seeing it once though I was able to concentrate more and read a little slower than I might have.

It's a fun test.

It takes a bit of concentration, but ... it's a little like riding a bike. Once you get over the learning curve, it's easy.

But maybe I'm cheating, like blue-dreamer and vangogh: they had an exhibit with a trick just like this at the Boston Science Museum when I was a kid.

Yes, I could do it with little trouble, but the sign says it's about left or right brain. From what I understand thus far (and I sure ain't a neuroscientist) it's not so much left or right brain but the corpus callosum, which governs communication between the hemispheres. Which would mean that those both technically and artistically savvy, who bounce between detail and global thinking quickly, are really good at these things. But I could just be spinning my wheels.

I don't understand how some of you think colorblindness helps or is cheating, it states say the "color" not the "word". Colorblind people should be incapable of taking this test.

Fun test. A little like bouncing between design concerns and technical coding issues when developing a website. Do you think Democrats, or Republicans had the most problem with the Red/Blue items?

Why shouldn't a colourblind person be able to take the test?

Colourblindness after-all doesn't mean you can't see colours - just that you find it hard to distinguish between certain colours at times.

I am colourblind and had no problem with it!
