CMS for use with a job board?

I am creating a site for my recruitment firm and have installed Joomla 1.5 RC4. Was wondering if this is going to be hard to integrate into the jobs available page?

Basically am looking to integrate the CMS only into that particular page with it being able to do:

- job searches
- last 10 posted jobs
- ability to quickly post up new jobs on the site

Would joomla be an overkill or is there any other CMS that would probably fit my needs better? Am looking for a open source CMS that would meet the requirements and be easy to integrate into the HTML page.

Thanks.

I don't think it would be a problem. You would setup the base URL in Joomla to be the directory of the jobs board page you wanted. You then would have to modify the Joomla template to have the framework from the other portions of your site, leaving only the jobs component (I'm assuming you found one you like in the content area.

As to whether it is overkill or not, If you got space on your server for a complete Joomla install, including the database, and don't mind cluttering up one of your sub-directories with all the install files, and are familiar enough with Joomla and the component you wish to install, it might be a good fit.

My personal experience with Joomla is that very little works out of the box. Lots of tweaking and tuning. Most of the free components are far from Industrial strength (Save Fireboard which rocks). It is a great tool if you plan to use more than one component and want user modifiable content on your site for the long term. For a single purpose site, unless you are trained in multiple disciplines, and have the time to learn Joomla Architecture, if you can find a ready to go commercial PHP solution(In this case a jobs board) at an affordable cost, you'll make up whatever you spend on it in time lost tinkering with Joomla.

Just my $.02

There's a company that has recruitment software specifically. Is this all your site is or will you need other things?

http://www.osirecruiter.com/

I used it before and the setup is nice. It wasn't $179 when I bought it... I think the price went up.
