Ha. That is the first time I have been to DP, quite funny. Is “Alexander the Great” Newbie? I think I’ll join DP to avenge in his name.

Congratulations, James. You truly are a successful web designer because you have accomplished the one thing all successful web designers accomplish:

Have a gift on me, pal!
I'll be as surprised as you when you open it!

I am the great EGS there and a lot of your "points" are biased from what you read from banned members, in my opinion.
But good job on getting publicity to your site...a good way to gain some traffic from DP.

This guy is probably just a mad banned spammer.
|
He assumes I'm a spammer because I'm criticizing DP.
Funny

All blogs are biased IMO, that's why there called blogs. And I haven't gotten my ideas from banned members, except maybe one or two from Alexander the Great (aka Learning Newbie).

ROTFL I had a good laugh about this one. I have a theory that if someone kicks out the bastard mentioned in #40, the other stuff will go and DP will be cleared of corruption. Anyone want to test my theory?

James, what do you mean by your #18, "It sits on a subdomain"? Is that a bad thing, like my own site in my sig? Does it lend more credibility to a dedicated forum to have it be located just at www.ForumName.com?

That was probably more of a "funny point", but I tend to trust forums more who's sole focus is on the forum itself, and having it's own domain reflects that.

Well the fact that you compiled of list of 100 incorrect reasons why a forum sucks leads to believe that type of thing.

Hi James -
I use DigitalPoint forums, and think their design is weak too. I also think your website design (reverse type) is proven to slow reading and comprehension. But basically, since you left out some positive things about that forum, I'm wondering what's with the "us versus them" attitude? Hey... there's pluses and minuses about any forum, and about any website, for that matter.

It isn't "us vs. them". It's "people who go around selling crap to other people looking to resell the same crap to even bigger idiots than they were in the first place" vs. "people who understand that get-rich-quick schemes and short-term SEO is not sustainable and someone's going to get screwed in the end."
