You can have all the opinion in the world its just when you don't back it up with facts your credibility starts to fade.

What's really nice is people can be civil when discussing politics. I commend everyone that has done just that!
There are other forums that I frequent that if a political name was mentioned in a thread, an immediate flame war would start and the thread closed or deleted. It is very nice to have varying opinions and be able to discuss them.
Thanks for keeping it civil.

I would like to hear others opinions on this. If you can argue civily. I like to debate these issues as thats what our country is founded on.

Captain,
I would love to "argue civilly" with you, but I'm afraid we see pretty much eye to eye on the most basic issues. It is nice to find at least one thread on at least one forum where the conservatives seem to have made their point to send the liberals into silent consideration.... for now. I'm sure that will change.

Thats part of the reason I want to hear more from them. I want to discuss the issues with facts and not drive them off, to cower in the corner.

heh, ok. I'll stand my [little] ground.
Moron: "a mentally retarded person who has a potential mental age of between 8 and 12 years and is capable of doing routine work under supervision"
lol, ok that is stretching it...but maybe "a person of subnormal intelligence" will fit for my purposes:
"I suspect that had my dad not been president, he'd be asking the same questions: How'd your meeting go with so-and-so? … How did you feel when you stood up in front of the people for the State of the Union Address-state of the budget address, whatever you call it." <---come on.
"The California crunch really is the result of not enough power-generating plants and then not enough power to power the power of generating plants."
"I know what I believe. I will continue to articulate what I believe and what I believe — I believe what I believe is right."
"Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning?"
"Then I went for a run with the other dog and just walked. And I started thinking about a lot of things. I was able to - I can't remember what it was. Oh, the inaugural speech, started thinking through that." -George W. Bush, in a pre-inaugural interview with U.S. News & World Report
"For every fatal shooting, there were roughly three non-fatal shootings. And, folks, this is unacceptable in America. It's just unacceptable. And we're going to do something about it."
source: our President
The six Republican presidents of the past 50 years had an average IQ of 115.5, with President Nixon having the highest IQ, at 155. President G. W. Bush was rated the lowest of all the Republicans with an IQ of 91. [Democratic candidates over the same period averaged 156]
source: the Lovenstein Institute
Bush's advisors wont let him make unscripted appearances.
Bush lectured the Japanese parliament about how the United States and Japan had been allies "for a century and a half", when in fact, the US and Japan have only been allied since after World War II, which ended just over 50 years ago.
remember "fuzzy math"?
He doesn't understand the basic science of global warming, genetic engineering, stem cell research, cloning, abstinence education, contraception and missile shield research.
source: various, accepted facts
It goes on...Thing is, Bush never seemed like (to me, remember) he should be in charge of a country. He just doesnt seem fit. His history of drug/alcohol use (abuse?) and religious hypocrisy also don't help his case with me. I shouldnt feel that gov. Arnold S would be better.
also, i couldnt help going to presidentmoron.com...guess who is there? another crazy site: http://zzpat.tripod.com/cvb/
oh, heres an article against him as a moron that i found: http://www.serendipity.li/wot/conover01.htm

Did you actually read those sites? Bush is a sociopathic serial killer huh? And so what if he's not a grammar expert or has problems articulating himself. I have an IQ of 129 and I talk on the phones all day and make mistakes all day long.
Quoting him for saying things that are a bit odd is not a sign of his wisdom in leadership its a sign of his humanity. Lets put actions over words and think about the fact that Kerry has admitted to commiting war crimes, burning down whole villages in vietnam and worse. I am more worried about this guy then bush anyday.

Kind of unrelated to the US nut I am in favour of Tony Blair and the way he runs the UK, the war I think was right, but perhaps not planned as well as it should. Bush does not have a good reputation in the UK, but to be honsest I dont really know enough about him to comment.

Well you can't just dismiss everything in my post as insignificant. His bad grammar and ignorance happens so often that it must be rooted in something more than "humanity". His own advisors don't let him speak unscripted, and there are at least a hundred such examples. I also never mentioned Kerry.
