Personally, I think they'd be better off under Microsoft. What do y'all think of the news?

Consolidating market share with live search would be a boost to both companies, IMO. Neither company is as innovative as Google, so they'll have a tough go of it. If Rupert Murdoch, or one of his many subsidiaries, had some innovative search engine skilz, I'd vote for him, just because the man is a god.

Murdoch, just because Ted Rogers would have nothing to do with him, sever Rogers' ties with Yahoo!, and we might finally end up with decent mail servers to use here in Canada.

That, and I want to see a Yahoo! version of Cheaters.

and if Murdoch gets it, then hopefully next to fall will be Ted

The problem is that if Ted goes, we're stuck with Bell. As much of an arrogant prick as Ted is, he's the lesser of two evils when it comes to communications.

So yahoo is on the chopping block, one way or the other ... it's just a question of who gets the meat?

I wonder how this will affect Flickr. I've been thinking about hosting my jpegs there.
