Why do all the users here hate Digital Point so much?
Its more active than here, and has loads of cool members. Yeah, the mods are ****e (especially Guy From Chicago - hes a prick) but there is cool ones like Katy.
Just wonderin.

"Hate" is such a strong word. I don't think all of us hate DP, just some. I think the majority
of the dislike comes from the amount of unethical (and illegal) practices that take place on
DP. Even though they have rules against it, many still get away with it.
Sometimes, that questionable activity tends to spill over to this forum and I'm sure WT and
its members would prefer not to have the same bad reputation. That is my personal dislike.

Because DP represents the vast majority of "me-generation" self-absorbed vested interest political BS thinking that pervades the web design and web marketing industries. From get rich quick scams to how to screw with search engines in ways so silly they make baby talk sound intelligent, it's all there.
If the mods paid half as much attention as they should, 95% of the posts would be prefaced with the word "SCAM" just so that newer, more naive webmasters wouldn't fall for the same crap and waste time and money.
Basically, DP is a modern-day adaptation of Amway: useless crap peddled in a pyramid scheme.

For me is the fact that people don't pay attention to what poster above says,
or listen to advise, or instruction(s) etc.
We ask them "Please read Submission Guidelines" and yet they submit their sites
as if there is no request posted or Guidelines are not there fro them to read.

The amount of "They hate us because they're banned from DP" type of posts over there is getting quite ridiculous, so lets see how many of us fit your "criteria":
ADAM Web Design (aka AWD1) - Not banned, hasn't posted over there in 2 years
ForrestCroce (aka Forrest) - Not banned
Learning Newbie (aka Alexander the Great) - WAS banned, not anymore, but he was against DP before even joining them
tripy (also tripy) - Not banned
whym (also whym) - Not banned
fastreplies (also fastreplies) - Not banned
christopher (aka Chroder) - Not banned, never made a post
jamestl2 (myself, also jamestl2) - Not banned, never made a post
st0x (also st0x) - Not Banned
TimSchroeder (also TimSchroeder) - Not banned
Other reputable members like vangogh, chrishirst, LadynRed, etc. I'm not sure about, I don't believe they've ever had DP accounts.
As you can see, spewing out illogical reasons about banning, jealousy, etc. makes those of you presumptuous <this would get snipped>. As I said before, read Adam's posts I gave in post #5.

I don’t hate DP and I don’t think “hate” is applicable label.
Justified truthful coverage and consideration of facts would be more appropriate description of some WT members opinions but not by any stretch of imagination hateful or jealous remarks.

I couldn't agree more. Hate is a strong word, but I really really really don't like DP.
It's full of scammers and people who want something for nothing.
Though I have to say I was banned from there, I had two different accounts (one through work, and one for personal use). I accidentally accessed both accounts from the same IP, and was clobbered with a ban. Oh well.
