I remember a forum community called Webmaster-Talk.com once, where in the design contest section the mods / admins used to mediate when contest holders started showing signs of scamming designers. I wonder what happened to that community? Seems like TycoonTalk just lets the wheels fall off a deal and the designers fend for them self trying to get the contest holders to honor their agreement to pay.

Is it a scam maybe? Or is it just bad timing, coincidence, and an oversight?

And you guys wonder why I'm on less and less these days lol

Nah, the previous administration prior to the takeover just made the one who was moderating that section really, really, furious enough to quit, and didn't ask anyone to take his place.

They were obnoxious enough to promote the one behind what caused the stink to be a mod, though she doesn't do a third of what the one who quit did. But right now that's OK, 'cause the forum isn't doing much either, save for the SEO section.

But, who knows? Maybe the current administration has something in mind.

Personally, I don't go in and check the Contest area because we haven't changed the layout, process and everything in there yet..but we are working on something to improve it. It seems like scorpionagency is pretty much active in that forum.
Once everything is final in the Marketplace and graphic design contest categories we might be needing a mod to take care of those

Well, Let me know if you need help, I've been a member here several years now, a member of freelancer.com several years (starting back when it was getafreelancer), I've been a top Mod over at NamePros (176,623+ members) for a while and an Administrator for OnlyZombies. I would be happy to assist you in cleaning up the design contest and graphics design sections, you are more than welcome to check the Design Contest section over at NamePros to see how I manage it.

P.S. I'm also very familiar in working with VBulletin
(just FYi, don't confuse the contest section with the design contest section at NamePros - completely separate sections

No, though she was a good mod over the design contest forum. When she couldn't do it anymore she even made sure to ask for someone to take her place. That's dedication.

I was talking about the one who stepped up to fill in and help keep the contest forum honest. Read the latter pages of the "How to improve contests" thread to see who it was who consolidated recommendations, ask around who kept scammers at bay in that forum following her lead.

Not naming any more names, you know the back story, as do most of the long-termers here.
