Now that I think about it.. writing the code to parse roman numerals into integers might be a bit harder than it appears. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime

I think they went out of style when Fred told Joe "You owe me XX dollars" and Joe said "You mean we're calling it even?".

You can see how imperfect wikipedia is when on the page for Roman Numerals you have this (at the beginning of the Fractions section)

Though the stupid Romans

I didn't know they had numerals for fractions!

I discovered when my son was learning roman numerals that I made a math equation when naming him: Mine & Dad's initials are both CML, his are MCM =

CML = 450
+ CML = 450
MCM = 900

(he has my maiden name)

How intriguing! You have your husband's last name and your child has your maiden. And, I thought I was being creative with AuraQuinn, my child's name. Never thought about messing with the last name.

It wasn't really an option....my hubby isn't his biological dad and I was neither with his bio dad nor married to him when DarkLink was born. Both my kids have extremely ordinary names....Michael & Kaitlyn. We just messed with the initials ---- CML, CML, MCM & KML
