Hey guys wondering, if you are using Adobe CS3 and do you think, if there are other alternatives to CS3. Would you recommend CS3 or wait for something else.

That really depends on what you're doing. Are you talking about photoshop, dreamweaver, or one of the other CS3 apps?

As far as dreamweaver goes. If you are coding in PHP I recently found that eclipse has a PHP IDE. I've always used eclipse for java programming, I've found it to be much better than the many alternatives.

It really depends on what you want to do. If it's Dreamweaver or Golive, you could get away with using Notepad, given more time, or higher quality standards. On the other hand, there are a lot less apps that will stand in Photoshop's place. Paint.net is great, although it won't open jpegs from my camera - too many bites. The Gimp is fantastic, although I don't like the user interface.

CS stands for creative suite; they have a lot of software under that umbrella. Which one are you looking at?
