My son, stupidly, spammed a forum, and the owner has reported me to our ISP, Virgin Media.

He claims to have reported someone last time, and gotten personal info out about the previous spammer.

What should I do?

I am suprised the person even reported it to your ISP! However, i am sure Virgin Media will give you a warning lol Its not the biggest thing in the world - by the way which forum was it?
Thats new to me, a forum reporting to ISP!

Sit back, relax and don't stress. If it would make you feel better, you could always call your ISP.

The ISP doesn't really have permission to give out personal info about just anyone - it's mostly in their interests to look after their customers, not some random forum owner who's contacting them about a petty case of spamming.

I wouldn't worry about it. If your ISP does give out personal info to a random guy, then report them to Ofcom!

If you spammed a forum by typing a handful of posts virgins will not thank the other user for reporting you.

If you setup a forum bot that posted 1000 threads on 100 forums every minute of everyday they may start to show an interest.. and then its only may**

Ummm...does anyone else not find it a tad odd that the OP is promoting game sites in his signature and started this thread about how DP is cool, yet claims his son is a spammer?

Not only that...what kind of father would directly rat out their own son like that?

I neer ratted out my son, I got a email from the site owner (how the **** he got my email, I will never know.0)

The website is Computalk.com, and I think he may have used a username to look like me

This forum is a lot more helpful than DP, so I am staying

Oh, and I now see how you Hate DP. 5 infractions in one day.
