I, for one, am not! I am a Greek - Orthodox, Romanian - Orthodox to be exact ( but no ones heard of that : P), so my easter is a few weeks later : ).

Why aren't you celebrating easter this weekend

Saturday I'm on call for a delta deployment; when that's finished I'm heading out in a kayak with a friend. If the weather is decent on Sunday, I'll be biking about 35 miles.

I will start my day with sunrise service at 7 am, fellowship breakfast at 8:30 am, regular service at 10 am, then family dinner at 2 pm.

I am aware that your Easter is April 27. I will wish you a happy Easter then

I'll probably do my normal Sunday routine: get up late, make the family some lunch, then geek around on the computer or watch a movie.

I'll be celebrating Easter as usual - going to Church on Sunday morning for 11am, then walking with a large cross through the town after the service (we walk a plain cross through on Good Friday and then a decorated one through on Easter Sunday).

Last night (Maundy Thursday), our Church had a supper thing where we basically re-enacted the Last Supper and read passages from the Bible (and some people had their feet washed!)

I would be taking part in the procession through the town today but I'm going shopping in like 2 hours so there isn't time

It's funny how this thread was started about not celebrating easter, and most of the replies have been about how people are celebrating easter.

I watched a powerful production of the Passion of the Christ at a church 30 miles away last night - they used snippets from the film and then lots of acting and singing too. It was very good overall I wish our church was that large though

Yeah, funny that.

As for me, I'm inventing a new holiday -- Nor'Easter. That's where for three days, I crawl in a hole and tell everyone else to make like the wind and blow. 'Cause man, I need the rest. At the conclusion of said three days, I'll crawl out, feeling like a new man, rejuvenated -- resurrected, even? (raises pinky to corner of lips)

I wonder how many people have been in or even heard of a Nor'Easter?

I'm so remarkably sore. Went about ten miles in a kayak yesterday ... I got pretty far out, and lost track of the time. It took me three hours to make it into open Lake Washington, where I realized I had an hour to get the boat back to the rental shop. My shoulders are still on fire. And the Montake Cut is no joke!

Being out on the water with a view of both mountain ranges surrounding the city - rising tall and covered with a tremendous amount of snow - is breathtaking.
