I should get my rebate on my birthday

Considering its my 21st birthday it will be nice to have some cash on hand... you know for pizza and cake.

With the value of the dollar at it's current level, that's all you'll be able to buy with your rebate!

Maybe people should blame Bush for the economy too - hmm

not to turn this into a debate thread, but he will at least be getting back $600 dollors on top of his rebate, $1200 if he is married; I know of a lot I can buy with that kinda of doe.

Boy I am really getting screwed by Uncle Sam this year. This is the first year that I would really call myself a free lancer, so there where certain things I did not think of (aka TAXES). I had a great year of getting work, but now I owe the IRS $900! And that is with doing last minute claiming, I also work for FedEx so I had some money coming back for that, but not anymore. Man I sure did learn the hard way…

MINIMUM amount is not $600, it's $300, and unless you file a tax return, you're not getting anything.

The bottom line is, this stupid 'stimulus package' is NOT going to yank us out of the recession we're spiraling into. I will never see the logic of piling on 42 BILLION dollars in 'rebate' checks on top of the TRILLIONS on the national debt. You can't get OUT of debt by piling on MORE !

My last 2 are 98. I feel discriminated against as I have to wait until the end of May merely because of my social! That's unfair. Where is my lawyer?

On second thought, forget what I said. I love the IRS and would never doing anything that might flag me for an audit.

The 3 times that I was audited, we got back more than we were claiming. I think that was pretty cool!

Mine are 81.....and you want to talk about discrimination - I filed January 12! I didn't pick my SSN, I think they should to the direct deposit in the order of filing

I agree with you there, but I guess they need some semblance of being orderly. LoL!

And in the debate forum, maybe people should discuss how the President is in charge of the economy. Hmm....
