I was woundering if some of the moderators or someone is posting stuff to make us novices feel like we know more than the average joe!!!

I dont mean with bad intentions or anything but just to have a laugh

I have gone though a number of post across the forum and have seen 'webmasters' put posts up that defy explination - they have usually been corrected fairly swiftly -and no I am not going to point any fingers, the guys in the know will know which posts I am talking about.

So come clean mods , are some of these posts (especialiy some in the SEO forum) there purley to give people a laugh! if so can we have more of the same please I love it

(like the webmaster asking how to do meta tags!!)

Carl, I can't believe the staff are resorting to such idiotic posts. As you said,
the posts are far too senseless. That would be insulting our intelligence.
(At least I hope they're not making those posts.)

As for that meta tag thread, it's a clear attempt at a link drop. The poster
was just too stupid to realize their question would be suspicious. Their site
does have good meta tags and so do all the sites in their portfolio.

Carl as sad or funny as it might be to believe, those posts are all real. Some are legitimate newbie questions, some are perhaps people who don't call English their native language, and others like the meta tag thread you mentioned are obvious attempts at dropping a link. The meta tag thread in question is no more by the way.
