You know how annoying this can be...all of a sudden your hompage changes and you're unable to change it back...or, your computer starts to run slower than a mentally retarded monkey.

I'm currently using Ad-aware SE and Norton Internet Security. Seems to work great. How about you?

I actually just downloaded one today that I used to use a while back

Spybot-SD -- it's free too.

I also have McAfee with all of their goodies installed, but I figure, extra secruity can't hurt.

I just run Norton Internet Security. Is there a need for an adware program on top of that?

Some say yes (more can't hurt) and some say no (more clutter for your Task manager). I've found that some adware and spyware was not picked up by Norton and when I ran the Ad-aware, it took the problem out.

I use AVG Pro, Spyware Search & Destroy, CCleaner, Spyware Blaster and Ad-Aware.

I often find that some files are not identified by one program, but are by another.

I use Norton. I have internet security as well as spyware/firewall and other protection. It seems like the standard.
