I'm out of contract now and I am thinking about switching over to Verizon Wireless as I get a discount through them.

Ideally the perfect phone would be small in profile and a flip like the RAZR but offer more in the way of calendar and contact management like a PDA.

Since I dont think I will find the right phone, I'll also take suggestions on a good solid independant PDA. My last PDA was a Sony CLIE (palm os) but syncing tooking forever!

Any reason why you don't like the Treo 650 or even the new 700p?

I'm pretty happy with my Treo 650. I use the ssh client and browser primarily.

i had the V3 Black last year it's nice, just bought the LG G800 chocolate wich is quite nice

Definitely look at the 700p. The new windows phones (Even the Q) just aren't up to par in my book. They're sluggish, slow, crash all the time - pretty much everything you're used to on a windows pc. But you don't want your phone crashing when you need to make (or are expecting) an important call.

i have treo 650 thru sprint for almost a year. it gets the job done and overall im happy with it. i guess eventually i will get 700p (never 700w) and maybe the next version that will come out in a few years.
