I have always thought it was a waste of money, but the more I see it the neater it looks. Anyone have this in their vehicle? Thoughts?

My car isn't expensive enough to warrant a built-in GPS system, however I have a standalone one which is pretty good. I do a lot of driving on a day to day basis so it's handy to have. My next model of car won't have one in either, but I'll be upgrading my standalone one

Our town and country has a built in gps. It's handy and fun. We take frequent daytrips and it's nice to see the location of all the little streets and different routes we might not have noticed otherwise.

I like it because I don't have to feel like I'm ever really lost too. Ours shows gas stations and that's always covenient.

I also like the teachable moment factor for my kids.

I do wish chrysler had placed theirs where honda does though. Nothing like looking down at your gps while you're driving. :scared:

just traded my Tahoe in for a Honda Accord with the Nav system, never thought I'd like it that much, but it is something that grows on you for sure. If you're driving much, making sales calls etc. it really makes tings easy. Didn't take long to learn how to usee it either!

Unless you do some traveling I do not see a use for them.

I do know that UPS is playing with them in certain areas. The centers that have them say it helps, except there is still a problem with UPS's software that makes it to do certain functions drivers need to do.

I love mine, but then again I am a major gadget freak! I am thinking about doing a little Geocaching, if I can find the time.

They are great for ATV riding. Get 30 miles out in unfamiliar trails and it nice to have a general idea of the way back.

I have a Garmin 2610 currently, and it moves with me from my truck, to my car, to my motorcycle.

I've been hooked on GPS' for many years.. Can't live without one.

I have the Magellan Roadmate 360. It's pretty handy although it doesn't always give you the best route. One of the backdraws of it is the time it takes to located and connect to the satellites. I guess it's maybe because of it being an older model. I'm not sure about the newer ones.

I have been thinking about getting a gps in my car lately. How much does the Magellan Roadmate 360 generally cost? I have been looking at the Tom Tom's but the Magellan's look nice aswell so I can't make up my mind.

Own 330 Garmin. Love it. It's detachable. Rather to have it instead of built in gps. One day, I brought it into my parent's house and show to my dad. Few days later, he bought one.
