33-year-old man plans to walk across the country. Aims to sell each of the
3,250,000 steps he will take on his website.

(PRWEB) July 1, 2006 -- Brendan Kelly, 33, of Louisville, Kentucky, is
planning a three month, 1800 mile walk from his hometown to Las Vegas,
Nevada where he will play one hand of Blackjack for $250,000. He is
currently selling the 3,250,000 steps that he will take for $1 each on his
website, paymetowalk.com. $1.25 million of the money collected plus any
winnings from the Blackjack hand will be distributed to charities including
Habitat for Humanity and Make a Wish Foundation.

Mr. Kelly got the idea after hearing about a young man who made $1 million selling pixels on his website.

³I was having a lot of financial troubles so I needed a way to make some money, said Kelly, but I also wanted to give some away.

He is also filming his experience and hopes to use part of his earnings to
produce a documentary.

Madness, I don't think I could ever walk that far; but good on him for giving some of what he gets to charity.

1800 miles though, that will take a hell of a long time.

He's asking people to sponsor each step of his way, each of the steps will be available at $1. It's just a donation to charity really, he's collecting the money then distributing it.

He will take a portion and the rest will go to charity.

Seems too crazy to be true. Its amazing what some people will go through to earn some money...but atleast he is going to be giving some away.

People will just donate $1 for each step. Some people can donate $50 or $500, he just wants to raise around $3 million I think it is and thats how many steps he thinks he will take.

I heard about this recently. It's kinda amazing that people would pay for thsi guy to actually walk. Will he just pay it to charity or something like that???
