It is one of the fatest growing sites on the web besides EarnersForum.com that is.

What does everybody think of the concept? How long do you think it will be before all 500 words are sold? Do you think all 500 words will actually sell?

500Words.com has a lot more traffic though. It looks like a much better investment than 1000WordPage.com right now.

Yep i purchased Meet on 500words.com for $125 im not sure if you can resell or not though.

I'm not a big fan of this idea - or any site similar in this niche...it just doesn't seem worth it to me...

I bought a couple of words. I bought the word "thousand" to promote the site in my sig. It actually brings me in about 15 or 20 unique users a day. One of the main differences between his site and mine is that he rotates the words into random positions, whereas mine are fixed and their value is based on page position.

Consequently, I see different amounts of traffic on different days depending on where my word is on the page.

but the idea is also from Search Engine perspective right?
If this sites gets a nice PR the words could be worth something for SEO purposes

I guess that makes sense yes.

My site has only been online for about 9 days or so and its Alexa rank is already quite good. I'm just waiting for the search engines to kick in now to see if that equates to more traffic.

This is a learning curve for me and it is the first time I have overtly promoted any of my sites. It's interesting to see just how many visits I get through from my forum signatures. I never really thought that they could be that valuable.

My good friend Joel Comm is the owner of 500words.com and I am very pleased with his success. He was a follow up to 1000wordpage.com and out performed them though they had a several day head start. Joel moved quickly, upgraded the "concept" in numerous ways, and then promoted it like crazy. He has been rewarded for sure.

Joel's new AdSense templates look like they are going to sell extremely well. They just became available to the public yesterday.

I think its a pretty nifty idea. Also very easy to implement and very easy to get the traffic he is getting. He can purchase it from a company. Which he will intern make back very easily, when person purchase words.

Think about it 500 x what you payed = $ lots of money. (not including words that can be added).

Oh I wish it were that simple. I have generated quite a bit of traffic to my site already, but nowhere near the number of sales in the same sort of timeframe that Joel had. The advantage that Joel had over me was an excellent mailing list.

He mailed the offer out to his mailing list and they all duly obliged by buying links because they trusted him to get them the traffic, which he has done. Good stuff.

I wish I had listened to my grandmother all those many years ago. She said "traffic is great, but don't forget to get their email addresses." Did I listen? Of course not.

Wow, that's CRAZY. He sort of copied the MillionDollarHomepage idea, but in a different format. I can't believe that people actually bought text links. Congrats to Joel, good idea!

the idea is great for marketing but how many sites are there now doing the same thing? im sure it helps but you have to be sure to choose the best site for traffic. themilliondollarhomepage.com was unique and amazing. good luck to everyone that has a similar site.
