I would like to know if you can recommend me a good link directory script.

I already know about phpMyLinkDirectory (or something like that) and he's quite good but it dosen't have all the features I'm looking for, like an easier way to create a template.

Suggestions?

Ahem! Let me clear my throat.

One that I personally think would be worth checking is PHP Link Directory. It is the most widely used directory script on the net.

I might add that directories can be quite profitable (or just make enough to buy a steak dinner each week), so I hope that directories would be considered quite relevant to this forum.

I already stated that I know about php Link Directory ;p

The problem with this one is, it's hard to create a template (at least for me). I'm not _bad_ with the graphics but I suck at coding.

I understand the code, but for some reason, I can't make one of my own.

I was also thinking of creating a link directory a few weeks ago, and I stumbled on eSyndicat. (http://www.esyndicat.com/) I personally think that design wise this is much better than phpLD. Just that it may not be as flexible.

My two cents.

Have you tried searching for phpLD templates there are a lot of them out there.

I use site-stift on some of my directories, and I am happy with it so far.

Have you compared it with any other scripts?
What made you choose site sift?

Duncan Carver's LMA.
http://www.onlinemarketingtoday.com/...nk-management/

If you don't mind giving away a few links in the footer, this script is easy to setup, manage and is super customizable.. It's free and Google loves it PR wise.

I'm running it on a half dozen domains for example:

http://www.asktheseguys.com

You can also easily import DMOZ links to populate a database on any niche.

I think I saw this script before. I did not appear they had much of a support forum, or at least not an active one. I would say Esyndicat is the best competitor with phpLD.

Thanks! Our script is still very new... less than a year old. I hope to have some really good updates coming out for our one year (directory script) anniversary in Dec.

Cool, I hope you will update this thread when you make your release.
We are almost finished with phpLD version 3.10, and I'm very excited about it.
