Ok here is a viable question that every webmaster will come into!
If you were to have a great idea, something innovative and yet one that you knew that you would not be able to pull off by yourself. Would you ask someone for some assistance on getting the project complete and risk them running off with your idea before you had a chance to launch yours? Or would you simply try and hammer down and do it yourself, and not risk the word to spread and 5 more sites like yours launch before yours?
This is a question and a decision that most webmasters have to make at some point or another. We all know that staying one step ahead of the game can make you plenty of money. We also know that if a idea for a site is leaked out before the completion, that there will be 200 others out like yours before yours.
So what would you do?
Would you get some solid people that you had networked with online in a forum such as this? Or would you keep it to yourself and hammer away at it without anyone having any idea of what your doing? Or as I think, try and attend a few local meetings of the mind and network in person and launch it with the help of others.
As You can see I said I think that the 3d option their is the best. But the downside to this is that not to many webmasters meet, unless it is at some big shindig 2000 miles away, and then they are once every 6 months or so.
As some of you have noticed I have mentioned trying to get some people together in NC, Yes I live in NC, but I was thinking about this location more so because the NC<SC<TN<VA and Northern GA could all attend. The reason I have brought this up is that it is always nice to have a face behind the name.
I would like to hear everyones opinion on this matter, and see if I may be the only one a little paranoid of the next best thing being yanked from under my keyboard.:chris:
