500words copied 1000words.com and gave them no credit.
You are right, he did not give credit to 1000words.com. You would think that someone who supposedly has been "an Internet entrepreneur, who has been online for over 20 years" would have at least reconized them. I'm still trying to figure out how he's been an online entrepreneur since 1986 (or before - he states over 20 years). Do a quick Google search on the history of the Internet and you'll see that this statement is impossible to recognize as being a fact.
No idea on the internet is unique, nobody can say that their ideas are unique - it is now impossible. All that matters now is who can make their sites popular the fastest ~ what a sad world we live in. Giving credit is the least people can do.
Thats quite lame.. they copied the idea of the site and gave no credit.. if they make alot of cash... id sue :P... but i know they probably wont... well maybe
These are all similar to the milliondollarhomepage site which sold pixel blocks instead of a tag cloud.
I thought the 1000words rates were a bit steep per word considering the pricing
of this similar site. I'm guessing these types of sites raise rates as they build traffic and clicks. They are not much more useful than the myriad of directories and link farms.
