I thought this was interesting so I will share.

"A young man asked an old rich man how he made his money. The old guy fingered his worsted wool vest and said, "Well, son, it was 1932. The depth of the Great Depression. I was down to my last nickel. I invested that nickel in an apple. I spent the entire day polishing the apple and, at the end of the day, I sold the apple for ten cents. The next morning, I invested those ten cents in two apples. I spent the entire day polishing them and sold them at 5 pm for 20 cents. I continued this system for a month, by the end of which I'd accumulated a fortune of $1.37. Then my wife's father died and left us two million dollars."

It is becomming increasinly harder to make something from nothing these days like you hear about so much, such as people who immigrated with only the clothes they had on and some change.

Fortunately the internet is an exception and with a good idea, you can build a money making machine for little cost. NOT THAT LOTS OF MONEY WOULDNT ALSO HELP WHEN IT COMES TO THE INTERNET. Just before im flamed :P

Die at 62? I hope not. That's a very pessimistic view of the future IsMaR. Think positive!

Besides, saving like that truly is the most reliable way to become a millionaire. If you let the power of compounding interest work for you, you'll get out ahead in the end, and probably be able to retire early if you're frugal.

Saving is great!

I know, I'm just playing, I am optimistic person, but I dont know waiting 40 years to become a millionaire is a long time

I think it's good to have the backup plan working (so at 60 at the least you'll be a millionaire) and to also work on ideas/businesses that can make you wealthy in a shorter time frame. If you get rich sooner, abandon the longer term plan :-)
