With all the Vista news going around, I just went ahead and made the switch to Mac. I figured I could've still ran XP but it's pretty old now as it is, an by the time Vista officially lauches it'll probably be another year or two older

Seriously, Mac OS X has most of the features they're trying to include in Vista (and has for some time) and it isn't nearly the memory hogg, and it's rock solid stable.

I think Vista will cause a ton of people to check out alternate OS's like Mac OX and Linux.

I've just switched to ubuntu which is a free linux distro that will run on as little as 192 MBs. There's much less to worry about when it comes to viruses and I love the fact that I don't have to run another resource hog like Norton anti-virus that slows down the compuer even further.

I've seen screenshots and it looks like it has too much of that 3D stuff. I'm not sure if my system's gonna be able to run all that.

Well, my review after using it for about a month is that it is in fact a resource hog.. And that all the "visuals" it has is really unnecessary.. If you're looking to buy a top performance computer then I guess Vista would adapt well with it.. As far as I know that'll be the last time I use Vista haha :x Windows Pro!!!

Dude, I got Vista, and it killed my computer, so I had to upgrade my RAM ASAP.

I then had to reformat my computer.

Vista blows, it only looks nice is all.

I use Vista and love it. Very, very minor problems occasionally, but hey, its a beta! Frankly, I think it's going to be far better than any other MS OS ever released. I run a Vista forum, and I'm not alone in thinking it's really nice.
