TLA is a text link ad broker. You can either buy or sell text links through them. They'll pay you 50% if you are a seller and your link gets sold. Basically you submit your website to them and if it's accepted, they'll act as the middleman to sell your text links.

If you're selling links, you need to wait for them to accept your site. In the mean time, you can join their affiliate program. Go to the Affiliate Program control panel to get your referral link.

I don't think it's right to ask Lee how much he earned from his referrals. His TLA advetisement banner has been removed now (it was up for a short while only). I doubt he got much referrals anyway.
