Back in 99 I created a program that allowed companies to enroll their employees online for their health insurance and then transfer all of that data to the different vendors.

Still doing it today.

in 99? wow! I was in coll at that time! good to know that we have senior members like you in EF.
Well I started with my free blogs on blogger with adsense ads.

In 2002 I started Milescape.com, a fairly large hosting company, with a friend I met playing Tribes 1. I was 17 and handled tech support and simple server reboots / billing management. Quan, my partner, actually did the linux stuff... this was back before everyone and their grandma had a hosting company. I was bought out in 2003 when a bigger company bought it.

It was a very good experience.

Back in 1994 we started EPage Classifieds (then at ep.com) which is still going strong today, and at that point I had been out of college for 8 years.

Online? I started a commercial BBS in 1990 with "Doorway" programs which I wrote, allowing companies to have their documentation and support "online". Then added Fido channels to distribute discussions... Then UUCP for e-mail...

Sort of an outsourced support BBS for engineering firms.
