I know nothing about proxies or how to set them up. What should I use? I'm simply trying to mask my IP while i'm on the web so I can't be traced back. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It's impossible to do that because proxy websites keep a log of their visitors. If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to use a proxy? :detective:

There are two ways to use proxies:
1. You can find proxy lists by searching on Google and configuring the proxies with your browser.
2. You can mask your IP by using an online proxy, like http://nodeproxy.com/ (where you just need to enter the URL of the website you want to access).

There's one thing wrong with that. Around 99% of the IP addresses don't work!!! I found a bunch from one organization that was public and worked, but it had restrictions, for example you couldn't use it on the sensitive pages, aka...https URLs. Other than that, I found ONE IP address that worked, with out that restriction.
