I re-installed it a few days ago after Google rolled out the new features (voicemail, file transfer, and the music thing). I've been using it to chat with clients and friends and it's definitely a lot better than AIM in my opinion. I never liked MSN before because it's so bulky.

So yeah, any other GTalk users here?

I use Skype as well. It was much better than GTalk last time I checked. Much better sound clarity.

I downloaded it then removed it. I have no gtalk friends. They all use MSN/Yahoo!

Few of my friends use Gtalk, but most use MSN.
I think MSN looks better anyway.

what do you mean by "bulky" ?

I haven't used GTalk yet, but I dislike their internal email chat or whatever it is.

Bulky as in too big and crammed with stuff.

No one I know uses GTalk, so there is no point in me using it. I think it's just a plain IM client, and still needs alot more development. AIM, MSN, Yahoo are better. I use Trillian to login to them (I only use IM once in a while).

i use gtalk at work with other buddies who are at work, cuz its the only one that most offices haven't banned yet. Me, I'm allowed to get on anything all day, as we chat with clients on im and each other. but others businesses, block just about everything

I'm kind of using GTalk, its really not my style. Too simplified. But I do use it

I use Google Talk regularly (and also WLM, Y!, AIM, Skype and a few others). I really, really like the new voice mail feature. It integrates really well with Gmail and saves recorded voice messages as MP3 files. Skype has voice mail as a paid extra only.

If they ever deliver the promised interoperability with AIM, they'll gain a much larger presence in the market.

Of course, it's actually possible to use Google Talk as a sort of Trillian-like multi-network IM client now (though it's not for the faint of heart). I've got all the details at my site.

I think there are two versions, one is embedded and one is a standalone program.

Not to sure though, not a big gmail fan.
