This is not good. I was frying some jalapeno peppers when I developed an itch on my person. Thinking quickly, I used my left hand, which had just been wrist-deep in jalapeno juice, to resolve the situation; however, I may have been thinking too quickly as a new, much more painful sensation has replaced the previous itching.
I believe it would be fair to say that this is a most unpleasant sensation, which I hope not to repeat in the future.
