My friend has a cool keyboard, its about the size of a pencil, and it projects a laser image of a keyboard onto your desk, then you just tap your desk as if your using a keyboard. It's really cool.

Yeah its like using a normal keyboard. Your fingertips get sore after awhile though because your just tapping your desk, and on a normal keyboard the buttons give some padding. Just try it, tap on your desk for a bit with your fingertips, they get sore fast, I guess that's the only flaw of the keyboard.

I've heard of that before... seems like it'd be hard to get the hang of it though.

What's the point other than having a "cool" keyboard? I mean, why is it worth it?

Some things are just fun to use and not practical. Like Guitar Hero as another example. I'm frugal, but love gadgety stuff.

Wouldn't the novelty wear off after a while?
And at $160 - would you actually buy it?

Novelty? I'm getting it so I don't need to spend a $1000+ on a laptop.
I want to be able to type outside, at school, or at a friends place and not have to use my PDA's tiny, tiny screen (it is actually fair large, but I still hate the keyboard).

$160 is much - like I said I won't have to buy a laptop.
