What do you think, is it going downhill? Or do you support the changes made..

I dont' like busting out $20, but it seems to be doing pretty well.

I like the new features that they've added.

I think prior to their new marketplace, it was not worth the cost. Now I think it is and it's certainly cut down on a lot of that turnkey crap.

But its worst for turnkey users as they have less exposure imo.

I think that the $20 free is too much

But the new market place is also very nice

well, I think $10 would do it.. and "want to trade" asks also $5.. no reason for that.. should be free

The bottom line is anything you list on SitePoint will more than likely get sold if you've priced it reasonably. That's why they can charge so much.

Well I've got my own own thoughts on promoting the selling of turnkey sites in the first place :1eye:

Hopefully the DP forums don't do the same thing. If so, earners forum should add a similar section .

i've never sold anything on sitepoint, but unless you're selling a decent priced site, I wouldn't think it's worth it. But as I said, never sold anything there before...

But if its only $300 for example i know this sounds petty but $20 is quite a bit.

It acutally worked well for me.

I just sold a site for $1000 so the $20 to fork out at the beginning wasn't that big of a deal.

I hope the Buy/Sell forum takes off here. It seems that it is easier to know who you are dealing with here on EF that it is over on SP.

I think they are getting a tad bit greedy with raising the prices every other month - but, people still run to it, so why not right?

I do love their new marketplace and all the new interfaces and such, however, I think it's so popular that I get a little dissapointed when the threads I buy don't get the exposure that I would've liked.

Man, they are banking it though. I am SOOO jealous.

Personally, I think the selling sites part is worth it, but not the TYS, or WTB. TYS recently got upgraded to 5 dollars. I mean I didn't mind all those link exchange threads, because I'm the type of person always looking for more links.

I recently paid 10$ to hire someone... and I did not get NEARLY as many e-mails as I did when it was free to post a "Want To Hire"

I got about 50 PMs back when it was free... This time I have about 7 e-mails and 1 PM.

Some sections shouldn't cost money to be posted in, but hey, if they can sell it, they will.
