As I cruise around on this site, I see people with two...Three...Four or maybe five sites and they just continue to create new ones. What I want to know is how are they able to create so many sites and where do they get the ideas? I've been sitting here for the past four or five days trying to decide on a site to create, but I can't think of anything. I know that I want to create one, but I just don't know what. Does anyone have any tips in deciding what kind of site to create? I'm not sure if this was the right place to post this, but I wasn't sure where else.

Create a site with a topic you really love and have knowledge of it.

Yeah, but the things that I am interested in I doubt would have much interest in people. For example, I really am interested in Organized Crime, but I don't have a source of information and I'd basically be robbing Newspapers if I took their articles. I am interested in writing and singing, but I don't know if there is a big audience for that. I just worry that my niches are already tapped into a lot, sort of like gaming sites.

Yes, it's not really that easy; especially, if you're thinking of something big.

Hey, I don't think I can help you with robbing the newspapers, but have you checked out the article submission sites. There's a least 100 of them. Many have articles you can check and visit the sites that submit them. Surfing around can get your creative juices going, and maybe you'll find that you have a lot more interests than you know. Check out this site to find stuff on writing; ezinearticles.com, just one of the many. Let me know if this helps.

I personally think success comes from passion. Sure, there are people who can make good websites without much passion. But can you make an excellent website without passion?

Personally, I don't think so.

Writing and singing sounds like a good idea for a site. You're talking about writing lyrics/poetry right? Or just writing in general?

Even if you create a website centered arond a topic you are passionaite about doesn't mean you will get traffic. No traffic = worthless website.(unless you are selling a turnkey)

Yeah I was a but guilty of that, though i've stopped for now, basically I just thought of Ideas, an kept in in the back of my mind and every now and then a new idea would just pop up, though a bit unpredictable. Don't think hard about it though - I did that at the start and got no good ideas.

Why not create a site devoted to Mafia related video games?.

EA just came out with the GodFather video game which my nephew tells me is awesome..

Have some kids write up walkthroughs, cheats and hints for the game.

You could even do a forum for Mafia related games and movies, and give users Status names like: Capo, Soldier, Muscle, Thug.

Have someone create a viral flash game for you involving Gangster Movie quotes..

Plug Video's and Books on the Mob from Amazon and build a list of Mafia enthusiasts..

My girlfriend names her all pets after characters from Mafia movies... our dog is Capone..

You're not alone... just find the right niche for your love of Mafia and you can make some money with it.
