I know this isn't a venting forum but I don't know where else to post. I'm just really mad because I got home from Vegas and all my money was gone, my guitar was on the floor, there was food on the floor, there was porn on my desktop/spyware. That's not all, some of my parents stuff as well.

What pisses me off the most is that I'm only 16 and I make my own money, I bought all this. I earned my money, guitar, computer, etc.

It's just so unfair for my family and I that my good for nothing crack head brother takes/messes up all our stuff.

Hi Hobbit,

I'm very sorry to hear about that. You should definitely check on what your parents homeowner insurance covers. In many cases, you'll pay a deductible, but at least you should be able to replace your stuff.

I hope you are able to turn this situation around quickly.

Sorry to hear about it, but you've gotta consider that you're lucky that you weren't there when it happened. People do *stupid* stuff when they think they're going to get arrested.

What happened? Your brother came home, screwed up everything at your place and then left? How long was he there for, I mean that must have taken a bit to do

We can't do much because he's family bleh. Well we were away for two days, the stuff he did could be done pretty quick actually, specially since he has experience.

I missed the part about it being your brother who did it..

Hopefully he will be kicked out for good after pulling this stunt. I know I wouldn't let him stay if he was my kid.

If he is over 18 and you know where he is you can at least get him in jail for a bit. What he did is illegal regardless of who he did it to. Homeowners insurance might get tricky, but I still think you should make some calls and double check on that as well.

Maybe your folks should lay a charge against him. That way he'll be forced to go to rehab or face jail time. I know he's family buy you could be doing him more harm by letting this behaviour slide. You never know how many other homes he's done this to.

He was going to go to jail this week but the judge was nice even though he had a bunch of charges. And yes he's over 18. We can't really afford rehab, specially since he's been to it three times and ends up the same.

I'm not sure what he needs, but he needs something to snap out of this. I'm thinking about telling him something like, "I've respected you, your gf, your stuff, for 16 years, you haven't, don't talk to me again."

I'll ask my mom about the insurance by the way 007.

Always look at the brighter side of things Hobbit...at least you've only got 1 brother. Not here to give any advise, but I think all of us , that includes your brother needs a listening ear and not another "I told you so...and u piss me off" statement.

I appreciate your positive look on things, but I guess the waiting has been me waiting till I'm 18 so I can leave because of him.

I would have the locks all changed and keep all money in a safety box that is hidden.

Try and get your parents to not give anything to your brother as they should not provide for his addiction.

I have heard how crack can make people do some horrible things and he needs to get off of it.
