I've started a few threads like this and they seem to be crowd pleasers, so here is another.

Where is your taskbar?

I used to keep mine on the bottom of my desktop, in the default location, but several years ago I decided to try it on the top after a webmaster friend recommended it.

I have to say that I've never looked back. I find that it is very convenient to have it at the top because that's where everything else is, File, Edit, View, Bookmarks, etc. Also, most websites have their navigation on the top half of the screen.

So, where is your taskbar?

There's no option for "Top and bottom". I have a dual screen display, one has a bar at the bottom and the other at the top.

I cant figure out how to get a taskbar on my other monitor.

I just have my laptop connected to an external monitor, but all it does is extend my screen, no taskbar on my second monitor

If you're using Win XP:

Right click on the taskbar, uncheck (or leave alone if not checked) where it says "Lock the Taskbar"

Then just single click on the bottom taskbar, and drag it where you'd like

Oh and can some staffie please merge this post and know that I won't double post again? :P

Andy: I don't really know how it works on a laptop with an additional monitor but I just added a new taskbar on top of my other (I've set it as the "#1") and moved the default one onto the "#2".

I have to say that it's quite a mess to make everything work together but it works.

Guess an expansion of the question might be...
Who uses desktop enhancement utilities like Stardock, et al.
Or is that another question?
