I ussualy keep my pc runing for around 6 hours per day, when i come back home from work. On weekends however it's turned on much longer, ussualy for about 12 to 14 hours. I don't have a broadband yet, so i don't keep my pc turned on over night, how about you?

I keep my PC on for how ever long it takes, if I decide to be a doofus and start uploading or downloading a large file (1 GB+) then I leave it on overnight. Otherwise I switch it off.

Weekdays I am looking at leaving it on for the whole day and sometimes the night. So between 10-36 hours :P

Weekends are much less, usually 10-12 hours.

My PC never turns off unless it freezes or needs to reboot for a forced update. I don't even reboot when it says I need to to run certain programs, they lie!

PC is only turned off when rebooting, same as Forgotten.

It's not good to turn the PC on and off too often. As it's not good for the monitor to use a screensaver.

My computer is pretty much always on I'm at another house now making this post and my computer is at home still on because i don't have a laptop yet.
So my computer only turns off when i have to reboot, i do turn it off for a rest every so often but it lasts a couple of hours.

I use my laptop as a desktop replacement, it is on 24/7. I only reboot for kernel upgrades. I have to hoover the vents regularly though otherwise it does get quite hot.

Dead pixels is the most common problem. Especially if the screen saver is static.

Mine is rarely ever turned off. Only maybe a reboot once a week and when I install or have a problem.

My Computers have allways been "allways on" other than for system updates, hardware updates/failure etc. Build it, run it, leave it to go
-I do however let my monitor use its self power off feature, why not, its working harder than the computer is probabley
Thanks for the Q,
Have A Great Day

It's always on unless I have nothing at all that I want to keep for the next day (unlikely)

Monitor and speakers get turned off a lot though.

I am using my hubby's laptop atm and he is constantly telling me that I am going to kill it (because of over use). I am on for at east 6 hours a day, sometimes up to 12. I hope he is wrong, or I will never hear the end of it! An upside is, now that I have finally started making money I can at least justify the internet connection! Just need to work harder incase this thing does blow up...... lol.
