Have any of you big earners ever done anything outrageous, stupid or crazy with your money? (I'm trying to convince ltn1dr to go buy $1,000 worth of chocolates.)

After one particularly profitable website sale I walked into an auto dealer and bought an SUV. Paid cash for it. That felt good
Disclaimer: I only did that because I had just totalled my car and new I had a small insurance check coming to soften the blow.

I bought a brand new HP iPAQ hx4700 (aka PocketPC) for $800 CAD a few years back after making $2,000 selling game currency (then the market became oversaturated and everyone got banned).

I don't consider it wasting money but I spent $7,000 on a quad this year that I don't really need... Oh yea I just bought 50 ipods yesterday but I plan on reselling those. Honestly, I hate spending money and save whatever I possibly can.

The game was called Hobowars. I discovered and exploited a bug that allowed me to generate infinate sums of cash. However, in-game overinflation got the administrators suspicious and they eventually caught on to my scheme. In total my friends and I made off with around $5,000-$7,000 USD
Patrick: How much are you selling those iPods for?

My pop has that phone. It's great, but the buttons are a bit clunky and poorly placed, and the phone itself is sort of bulky.
I love the comment...
"Oh, and I bought 50 iPods yestarday".

Oh, I spent more than that there. But that was one day shopping aimlessly lol.
I did indeed move the Colombian economy xD
And yeah, I picked the Cingular 8125 after I read you talking about your dad having it. Buttons are a little close, but you sort of get used to it.

Congratulations?
I also don't like spending money but when I do it all seems to go away so quickly. Most recently I spent ~$1500 on my laptop but it would have been cheaper in USA.
