These cars last long with gas and even more they are 4 cylinder. Am consider buying one in the future, but now the battery just cost too much to replace. (around 3000 usd or more) thats if it breaks.

What happen if your battery breaks down when a lighting storm hits? geEz thats 3k worth down the drain. So everytime it rains you dont drive?

I don't think THAT is the reason hihi.. its a silly thought. Am sure honda has it figure out how to go around things before they even release the cars.

I'm wondering what constitutes a battery breaking. That is, I can understand it draining after a while, but I wonder what other kinds of things can happen to one....

Well batteries have an anode, from which electrons flow, and a cathode, to which electrons flow. They have to have a porous barrier or a salt bridge so that neither side becomes too positive, or too negative. If the salt bridge/barrier stops working, so will the battery.

You sound like you really know how a battery works Thanks for the information though. I wonder how long a battery on the car would last? 5 years?
