I thought this was interesting. While YouTube shows more than 100,000,000 videos each day, I know there is a bit of difficulty in monetizing the site due to the fact their videos are shown more off-site than on-site.

His argument is weak

He says:

"They are just breaking the law," Cuban told a group of advertisers in New York. "The only reason it hasn't been sued yet is because there is nobody with big money to sue."

Media companies are pulling in billions..and they can't throw some in front of youtube? BS.

There have been no lawsuits yet because the media companies are building a case. Money isnt the issue. Once they have a case that they have a good chance of winning, they will take youtube court.

And he says only a moron would buy youtube..yes a very wealthy moron.
he also says:

"User-generated content is not going away," he said. "But do you want your advertising dollars spent on a video of Aunt Jenny watching her niece tap dance?"

Another stupid moron-esque comment by the befuddled, middle age, odd looking one himself.

There is much more to youtube than home videos.

A very poor, inconclusive analysis. If I turned in such a poor analysis in college I would have gotten a D. It is sad that this tripe passes as newsworthy. What ever happened to editors? Its thier job to keep this crap form appearing in the first place.

It looks like he only wanted to get in the news to advertise his own HDNet network.

Then that would defeat the purpose of it being "You Tube"

They would have to totally change what their site is built on

Haha I don't know about that but I definatly agree with him. The potential for a lawsuit is always there, however the monetization factor is also huge.

I predict there wont be a large lawsuit in the next year or ever. There may be smaller suits but none large enough to threaten the company at all.

Big groundbreaking Lawsuits come out of the blue. They arent so easily predictable. The predictability of this so called youtube lawsuit makes it less likely to actually happen.

I'm pretty sure Google has already considered everything. Mark Cuban isn't as smart as the entire Google company.
