Steve Mora took US$5k from me for the forum idenfusion.com, he sold it to another company and kept my money. Below is a link to the paypal screenshot...

I had to get Sitepoint to suspend it as Steve still had not closed it despite taking payment from me and scamming me, and the company FunBox to whom he did actually sell it. Seems Steve was hoping to con another buyer ot two into buying his forum. Sorry Steve, I'm not going to let you rip anyone else off.

It isn't that simple guys. PayPal will rarely get involved in transactions of this size, and for "virtual goods" i.e. things to be delivered over the net (since there is no physical proof).

If he had bought...say a computer, that'd be a different story.

I am sorry about everything that Steve has put you through. I'll be sure never to do business with him. Steve has some what of a reputation on the forums, and its unfortunate that he's ruined it all. Then again, I am also assuming and only hearing one side of the story.

I'd like to hear the rest.

Thanks for the heads up, and I hope that you will eventually be able to weld everything back together.

Sorry to hear that, but don't let it ruin your life.

In the end, it's $5,000. It could be a lot worse. I've lost more than $5,000 pretty quickly on a few occasions and all you can do is pick yourself back up and move on.

I hope you can get everything back in order. I feel your pain though and wish you the best. All hope may not be lost anyway. I suggest talking to a lawyer and getting some options to consider.

OK it has come even to here. for those who care to get the story. i placed my site for sale and evanso wanted to buy it. he was the lowest bidder and asked to go ahead and pay me before anyone so he can get started. i saw no issue with that. so i went ahead after and made him the winner on sitepoint.

so far I'm thinking its good. so i transfer the domains and give him full access to the forum and cpanel. he then goes ahead and pulls all the files and database. no he has a full copy of everything and the domains.

3 days pass and he pulls his money from paypal. of course I'm like " what the hell" so i get on MSN and ask him whats going on. he tells me i was a scammer and his wife pulled the money from me cause he had used her paypal and she didn't feel right about the deal.

immediately I'm like oh no. this is really happening. I'm getting scammed. so i call godaddy first and explain the situation and since they give a 15 day return i get the domains back.

i then call paypal and ask what happened and they explain to me he put in a claim and he doesn't want to pay me. i explain what happened and in 48 hours they sided with me.

he tried to steal my site with out paying for it and has everything he needs to start with a new site if we wants to. all for free? i don't think so. as for my reputation? i don't scam people. he tried to do it to me and it back fired on him. for those who want to never do business with me fine. that's OK but this is the truth.

if this happened to you and someone copied your complete site would you be happy? would you just let it slide? I'm sure alot wouldn't so there. if you think I'm to blame fine. he said he would call his CC co and place it as fraud but its him the one doing the fraudulent stuff not me. hes going around every forum posting this non sense and its sad to see that a guy with 0 posts and 0 trader rating can just create this and ruin me. but it doesn't matter cause i know what he tried to do and i wont allow him to just take his money and MY SITE with out consequences

These are lies Steve, I never had the domains, I never got the forum databse or anything else. The facts are you sold the site to another company for US$5.5k, and have not returned my money. You are a thief. It is a verifiable fact that the forum and domains are now owned by FunBox of Australia. You sold it to them for $5.5k. Despite doing so you kept my money because it seems the temptation of defrauding me was too great.

Anymore info I can provide to demonstrate Steve Mora has scammed me I will be happy to give. A Whois lookup on idenfusion.com will show that it is owned by funbox of Australia -the company Steve sold to.

i sold it to them cause they were the primary CO interested. you pulled your money out and told me you werent going to pay or buy the site anymore.

FACT #1 idenfusion was sold to FunBox of Australia. The domains, DB and everytihng else are owned by them.

FACT #2 Despite selling the site I paid for to another party you retained the $5k I paid you for the site.

look im done talk all you want. EF can make theyre own decisions wether to deal with me in the future. i just ask that all of you put your self in my shoes and see where im coming from.

as for you evanso , deal with this on a private level. call your CC co and tell them what you really did and let them decide. if im wrong they will give you the money back. im just not going to do it cause you cloned me. simple.

My CC company has your details and a fraud investigation is underway. I was hoping you might think better of stealing from me, and save me the lengthy process of CC company investigation. I never had access to the server so I could not have grabbed your database. It's all nonsense Steve. The fact is that you took $5k form me for idenfusion.com forum and now it has been sold to another company and i am left with nothing.

Do you admit you have my $5k, and do you admit that the site is now owned by another company?

I know what you are trying to do. You will pull all the money out your paypal and close it, that way when my CC company pulls the money back off paypal it will be paypal that swallows the loss, and you still get to keep the $5k you stole.

Funbox paid you $5.5k for idenfusion, why can't you just give me my money back? Is it fair that you keep my money when I don't have what I paid for? I can't afford to lose £5k.
